Berrymead is a Christian church made up of people who love the Lord, representing a range of nationalities and ages. At Berrymead, we are family - something that is often warmly noted by those who visit. We enjoy meeting together to fellowship through our various meetings during the week and have a heart for sharing the love of God with Acton and beyond.
We also love gathering to enjoy various activities and events throughout the year such as our New Year's Party, Awayday to Long Crendon, Worship Night, church meals and seasonal celebrations. All members and friends of Berrymead are welcome, new and old!
We regularly undertake pastoral work and carry out youth activities, such as our Thursday Club. Berrymead also supports UK and worldwide charities which provide help for those in need as well as missionaries who promote the Christian Gospel all over the globe.
At Berrymead, we have a range of teams, including Leadership, Children's Ministry (Sunday Bible Club) and Pastoral Care. As we do not currently have a main church pastor, the general overseeing of church activity and the day-to-day running is done by the Leadership team, who meet once a month to discuss church church topics and issues, plan and evaluate church events, review our finances and to ensure we are leading the church as God intends us to.
We are also fortunate to have a list of both in-house and visiting speakers who bring God's word to us every week.
As a church that changes scene several times a week to accommodate our different activities, we are very hands-on when it comes to the rearranging and upkeep of our space, as well as being involved in serving one another. Many of our members are also part of our cleaning and coffee rotas; not the most glamorous roles, but no less important. Overall, we are a church that very much values the importance of working together.
