A group of us from Berrymead joined some friends from Brighton, Bournemouth and Frinton on a fundraising walk to raise money for Mano & Mano. The charity works with children and young people in Ecuador, and is currently working on building some new classrooms.
The group included those taking on either a 10- or 20-mile challenge, starting at Kew Bridge and ending at Westminster or trekking all the way to Greenwich! We thank you for your prayers for the day, and are grateful to God for the lovely weather we had. It was a tough walk, but we all successfully completed our respective goals!

We had a wonderful time in Long Crendon, hearing from Chris Vaz as he shared God's word and spoke about different themes. We learnt about what it means to "carry a different spirit" - how as Christians we can have a Godly perspective in different situations, and how God comes through in unexpected situations with His supernatural provision.
We had a lovely long lunch break, and were able to enjoy walking around the village in the sunshine. All in all, it was a blessed day and a great time spent together away from the hustle and bustle of London.
Our next Awayday to Long Crendon will be in October 2025!
We had a nice time watching "I Am Gabriel", a film that highlighted the importance of prayer, and just how much God wants us to talk to and be in relationship with Him. It was also a reminder that God is still very much at work today as He has always been!
It was also nice to munch on some popcorn while chewing over some important themes. Who doesn't love a snack and a film?
Don't want to miss the next one? The next Film Night date is TBC, but stay tuned!
We had yet another blessed evening of worship, which featured a live band for the first time at Worship Night. The theme was: "The Lord Your God, The Lord Is One: Father, Spirit, Son".
We focused on God as our Father, the Holy Spirit, and the Son Jesus Christ, looking at different Scripture pasages about each Person of God, followed by a corresponding song or hymn.
It was a great time, and we look forward to seeing you at the next one, which we plan to have in May. Check back soon for the next date!
